Sony's first Android Wear smartwatch's price revealed

Sony has revealed the price of SmartWatch 3, its first Android Wear smartwatch. After being listed for a month on Google Play Store, it finally goes on sale for $249.99. Earlier, the Play Store listing just showed a 'Coming Soon' tag.

Sony SmartWatch 3 runs on Google's Android Wear software, offering users information at a glance. Its other features like accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and the built-in GPS, make it different from other Android Wear smartwatches as they help the user track motion and run.

The watch is also water proof, which means that it can also be worn while swimming or while taking a run during rains.
Sony SmartWatch 3 has a square shaped dial, measures 36 x 10 x 51mm in dimension and weighs 38gm. The watch sports a 1.6 inch transflective TFT LCD screen display with a 320 x 320 resolution. It runs on a 1.2GHz ARM A7 quad-core processor and boasts of 512MB RAM.
So far there are no details available on the smartwatch's India pricing and launch.



Motorola and LG have already launched their Android Wear smartwatches in India. While Moto 360 was launched at a price of Rs 17,999, LG's G Watch was launched at Rs 14,999 in June, but later, its cost tumbled down to as low as Rs 6,849
