Motorola Moto G phones get Android Lollipop upgrade in India

New Delhi: Motorola has started rolling out the much anticipated Android Lollipop update for its Moto G 1st and 2nd Generation smartphones in India.

The company has said that customers will be able to upgrade to Android Lollipup in phases. Hence it is possible that some might not have spotted the update yet. However, they will soon get the upgrade.

It has been also made particular by the company that the 1st Generation Moto G users must have an updated app which controls over the air (OTA) updates. Incase, the users don't have the app, they can go to Settings-About Phone-Software Update and then update it.

Meanwhile, the Moto G 2nd generation users can go to Settings--About Phone--System Update-- and check for updates if they have not yet recieved any notification on their phone.

Last week Motorola India had tweeted, "#Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device!".

Android Lollipop comes with a bunch of new interface, features, designs and settings including better battery life. Besides, Moto G users can customise the settings under the new Android update.
