Apple iPhone 6s with Force Touch already in production

Apple has already started manufacturing its next generation iPhones, touted to be called the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. A Bloomberg report has further quoted industry sources as saying that the Cupertino tech major will start mass production of its new iPhones as early as next month.

This confirms an earlier report that suggested that Apple could launch the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus as early as August, ahead of its usual September release cycle.

The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus will reportedly follow the same design and screen size specifics as the current breed of iPhones. This means that the iPhone 6s will reportedly have a 4.7-inch screen, while the iPhone 6s Plus will reportedly have a bigger 5.5-inch one.

Although the new iPhones will reportedly have the same external design as the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple would be looking to incorporate an improved metal casing to its new smartphones to address the bending issue of current iPhones.

The biggest takeaway will reportedly be the introduction of Force Touch pressure-sensitive technology to the new iPhones' displays. The technology that allows users to manually control the strength of their taps to bring up different functions was first seen in the Apple Watch followed by the new MacBook. Reports that Apple would bring the technology to the next generation iPhones have been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

The Bloomberg report further adds weight to an earlier report that claimed that Apple has already started mass production of its components for the next iPhone.

In addition, Apple should also look upon the heating issues plaguing some of its current handsets. A Gurgaon resident recently claimed that his brand new iPhone 6 got smoking hot and exploded during call. The only saving grace was that he was using the phone on hands-free mode; hence he survived an evident injury. An FIR has been lodged and the police are looking into the issue. Meanwhile, there's no word from Apple regarding the issue.
