USB type is definitely the future ,as rumor says that next iPhone will have USB type c port, future phone or even say some phone with USB type c like oneplus two and some windows laptop/P.C,Chromebook or macbook also have usb type c port that means there is no need of taking a lot of wires or accessories or buy accessories for each device which saves alot of money and also minimize some problems like transferring file from one device to another ,sandisk sell USB type c pen drive and in future almost every phone will have same port so sharing file between iPhone and Android and it will make it more easier ,you might be thinking what about windows phone and blackberry ,well rumor also say that in future they will also have and it will also help them in business like sharing file like via blackberry to blackberry or blackberry to iPhone .Another benefit charging with help of power bank or even in car with help of charging port ,laptop doesn't charge with help of this but new macbook 12 inch can be charged which make power bank or all USB type accessories more worth another reason it is more faster then usb 2.0
