Xbox Live Update for the week of April 15, 2015

It’s the week income tax is due, and Xbox One gets a game called We Are Doomed. That can’t be a coincidence, right? It doesn’t actually have anything to do with taxes though. It’s a twin-stick shooter that gives you a laser beam to blast enemies with. Waves Mode has 30 waves to tackle, and Endless Mode is well.. endless. We Are Doomed is $9.99.

Hold your livestock, the PC phenomenon Goat Simulator is now available on Xbox One. Developers Double Eleven and Coffee Stain Studios (the game’s original creator) promise millions of bugs. They only plan to fix the major ones, as the bugs are a large part of the Goat Simulator experience. Basically, you need to cause as much destruction as possible while being a goat. But that description only scratches the surface. It began as a joke, but became a full-fledged game full of chaos, nonsense and did I mention the bugs? Goat Simulator is $9.99.

You can now pre-order and pre-download State of Decay- Year-One Survival Edition on the Xbox One. This game was a pleasant surprise on Xbox 360 in 2013, standing out among the seemingly millions of zombie games out there. The Xbox One version will contain the Breakdown and Lifeline add-ons for $29.99. I own the original and had so much fun I may buy it again. It releases April 28.
