Motorola is all geared up to launch its shatterproof, Moto X Force in India on February 1. The smartphone’s listing earlier appeared on Amazon India without price or availability details, and has been taken down now. This comes across a tad surprising since, Motorola is knows to have exclusively tied up with Flipkart to sell its devices in the past. The Moto X Force is an international variant of the Droid Turbo 2, whose main highlight is its ‘ShatterShiled’ display. The company seems rather confident as far as longevity of the screen is concerned as it claims screen won’t crack for up to four years.
In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.4-inch AMOLED QHD display. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor bundled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 430 GPU. The smartphone will be offered in 32GB and 64GB storage options, both of which are expandable up to a massive 2TB via microSD.
Optics on the device include a 21-megapixel rear camera with 4K recording support along with 5-megapixel selfie camera with a front-facing flash. Juicing up the smartphone is a hefty 3,760 mAh battery with support for Qi and PMA wireless charging. The Moto X Force runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The single-SIM smartphone offers connectivity features which include 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The company is all set to unveil the Moto X on February 1, and we expect the smartphone to be priced more than Rs 40,000.
