PlayStation games can now be ‘played’ on Android Wear watches

Wearing a whole computer on your wrist means there will be some folks out there that completely ignore whether or not you should do something and instead focus on that glorious “because I can” kind of accomplishment. Games on Android Wear watches aren’t a new thing, especially now that there’s a bunch of titles that can be played without any modifications to your watch at all.
How deep does that particular well go? Well, someone has reached PlayStation One status with gaming on Android Wear with a helpful video showing off the one and only Croc.

The volume of things that are possible with the Snapdragon 400 processor and itty bitty wrist display that makes up many Android Wear devices is downright impressive. We’ve seen Flappy Bird, Minecraft, and now PSOne titles. The creator of this little trick claims to have not done much in order to get things working, but it’s fairly clear the watch has been rooted and several non-standard apps have been installed. From there, a PSOne emulator of choice and your favorite game should fit on the 4GB of internal storage with no problem. You can even pair a MOGA controller to the watch, if you’re that dedicated to the experience.
Of course, there’s not a good reason to do this outside of the accomplishment. The smartphone that you have this watch paired to is going to offer a significantly better experience, and you won’t need to do any work to install an emulator. You’ll also be able to play for longer than ten minutes before charging your watch. That having been said, it is pretty cool to see just how capable these little wrist computers truly are.
