Family War-Moto G vs Moto X vs Moto E

It is acceptable that your smartphone carries a bad thing or two and that it can easily be tolerated; but when performance is being compromised, you can’t help but think that you may have been ripped off by the company. Design should be of top quality, too, because it affects the overall rating of a smartphone. Does the performance of every aspect makes a smartphone the best of its category? Do you go with the budget-friendly ones or the premium ones? The three Motorola Moto siblings, which will be compared to each other below, fall in the mid-tier category but differ in prices and specs.

Moto G and Moto X are both released in the same year 2013, followed by Moto E in the year 2014. Comparison websites have given their verdict for each of these phones and have given its high rate, including user feedbacks.

Moto G runs on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, unlocked and an impressively cheap smartphone. It’s both compact with premium built quality that is combined with a low price. Its speakers even hold a lot of volume. It is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.2 GHz, with GPU Adreno 305 and 1 GB of RAM. The bad side of this handset is that the processor is quite slow, which should be a factor to make a smartphone the best. There is no LTE support and it only has a 16 GB internal storage capacity. The screen display of the phone is too dim while it’s vivid and contrast colors need more work, since it seems to lack certain elements. The camera equipped with this phone needs a lot of work, too, because it captures blurry photos and details are not very accurate. What makes this phone truly incredible is because the price tag is a challenge to beat.

The second in line is Motorola Moto X. The good side of this handset is that it carries a voice command ability that gives you an impression of living in a highly advanced, futuristic world, plus a speedy camera – just two of the most amazing qualities that are combined together in a well-crafted design. Among the three, this sports the large screen display size, although its pixel density is lower than Moto G’s. Still, this is of little matter as it has a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 and uses AMOLED technology. It has a wide array of customized designs plus an amazing

The disappointing part of this phone is that you cannot expand its internal storage capacity, the space for it could get a little lacking, since it only has a 16 GB internal storage. When compared to other smartphones of the same category outside of this comparison, its screen is not as large as it should be, plus its resolution does not give a sharper display. Moto X may be placed behind other competing smartphones that carries a better storage capacity, and screen quality, the amazingly comfortable and compact design, amazing battery life and astonishing voice control, this makes Moto X a worthy contender.

Now, here’s another affordable smartphone coming from Motorola, Moto E, in which it comes with the latest software from Android – the KitKat version, coupled with great processor and screen specs that are capable of competing in its category. Its screen display is 4.3 inches with a pixel resolution of 540 x 960 with a pixel density of 256 ppi. Powering this handset is the dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 clocked at 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A7, GPU Adreno 302 and a system memory of 1GB RAM. It comes with an internal storage capacity of 4 GB and can be expanded up to 32 GB through the use of a MicroSD card.

But it comes with a price, too, and this does not mean about the price tag it carries. Battery life and the camera is not impressive enough to wow its consumers, and it cannot be compared to Moto G, which remains the best Android powered phone with the best bargain price.

Still, you can never argue against the cheap price Moto E holds that is coupled with a specs set, which is already capable of completing the basic tasks of what you should expect from a smartphone. Still, the price is not as low as Moto G, which packs better specs than Moto E such as its camera, a more capable processor, battery life and improved screen display.
