The peak of the issues started during the game's launch earlier today, with some PC gamers unable to play the game due to frame rate problems.
Treyarch have since released guidance on the issue, telling fans: "There have been reports of certain i5 CPUs having performance issues causing very low frame rates - We are still working on the final solution for this issue, but we have had reports that changing WorkerThreads = 4 to WorkerThreads = 2 in your config.ini file can help."
Other console gamers have seen themselves unable to play online, with Activision advising fans to restart their PS4 or Xbox One to download the latest game update.
Fans have also highlighted issues downloading the Nuk3town and The Giant DLC maps on Xbox One, something Microsoft say they have been investigating.
A message on the Xbox support site explains: "We understand some of you who purchased the Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Deluxe Edition are being prompted to repurchase a Season Pass for the game and can't access the Nuk3town and The Giant bonus maps,
"We want to assure you we're working to fix this as quickly as possible."
