Following an initial testing phase earlier in 2016, Facebook is now rolling out official support for casting videos to these devices. The process is as simple as tapping or clicking the TV symbol in the top right corner of Facebook videos, and the casting is supposed to commence seamlessly.
The company stated that while watching a Facebook video on your TV, users can also go back and scroll through News Feed on the device being streamed from, and can catch up on other stories while the video plays on the TV simultaneously. Users can also find more videos to watch by choosing a new one from locations like the News Feed or the Saved tab. Additionally, when streaming a Facebook Live video to the TV, it is also possible to see real-time reactions and comments on the screen, where users can directly join in the conversation by reacting or commenting.
The feature is live for iOS and desktop web browsers, with support for Android to Chromecast streaming to arrive soon, according to Facebook
