Swipe Slice Dual-SIM Tablet With Voice Calling Launched at Rs. 4,999

Swipe Telecom has launched a new tablet in India, dubbed Swipe Slice. The tablet is not yet listed on the company's website, but is available to buy exclusively via Amazon India for a price of Rs. 4,999.

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) supporting Swipe Slice tablet, according to its product listing page on Amazon India website, runs the comparatively older Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, and features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8312 processor with a Mali 400 GPU for handling the tablet's graphics, coupled with 512MB of RAM.

Other features of the Swipe Slice tablet include 4GB of built-in storage, and optional storage expandability up to 32GB via a microSD card. It bears a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera for video chatting.

Missing 3G connectivity, the Swipe Slice tablet is listed to feature GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, a 3.5mm jack, GPS/ A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity features. The tablet, according to the listing, features voice calling facility and comes with FM radio support.

The Slice tablet by Swipe Telecom measures 108x189x10mm. The Swipe Slice runs on a 3000mAh battery. The tablet is said to be available in Black, Red, Blue , Yellow and White colour variants, but has only been listed in Black and White on Amazon for now.

Swipe Telecom last introduced its Swipe MTV Slash 4X tablet in January for Rs. 9,999. The tablet features almost similar specifications as the aforementioned Swipe tablet. However, the only difference is seen with the screen resolution, which is 1024x600 pixels in Swipe MTV Slash 4X.
