Earlier this month, Nexus 5 and Android One users in India started receiving Android 5.1 Lollipop update. Now, Google has started rolling out the update for the older Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (2012) users as well.
nexus-4-android-5.1-update-indiaThe Android 5.1 OTA update weighs 174.5MB for the Nexus 4, and 101.6MB for the Nexus 7 (2012). Similar to the Nexus 5, the update for Nexus 4 and the Nexus 7 too focuses on performance improvements, stability and bug fixes. Additionally, the update also improves RAM management, fixes frequent app crashes, and also brings an enhanced ART (Android Run Time), which make apps open quicker than before.
